Need a hand walking your dog? Or just want them to get out, burn off some steam, and make a few new mates? We’ve got you covered.
We offer two walking options:
- Group walks at the beach or forest, great for social dogs who love an adventure.
- Solo neighbourhood walks, perfect for dogs who prefer a quieter stroll or need a bit more one-on-one attention.
How it works
If you’re new to our walking service, the first step is to fill out our Dog Walking Questionnaire. It gives us a good picture of your dog’s personality and needs.
After that, one of our team will pop around for a quick meet-and-greet. You can show us how to collect your dog for walks and share anything important we should know.
Once you’re set up, you can book:
- Casual neighbourhood walks whenever you need them.
- Regular weekly group walks for dogs who thrive on routine and company.

Group Walks
Each weekday, we take small groups of dogs to the beach, forest or river to run and play with each other. It’s the same walker and group of dogs each week. Booking your dog in for group walks is fabulous for social skills and for burning off some energy. The walk is for one hour plus travel time. Our service includes pick up and drop off in our doggy wagon, and we send you photos after every walk. We walk big and small dogs in carefully selected groups so everybody has size appropriate playmates. We currently offer group walks for dogs living in Motueka, Riwaka, Mapua and Tasman.
NEIGHBOURHOOD WALKS
We are also happy to take your dog out for a 30-minute walk around your neighbourhood. Perfect if you have a busy day or you are away and need extra help with your dog. These walks are currently only available for dogs living in Motueka township, Monday to Thursday afternoons, and dogs living in Mapua township on Tuesday to Thursday afternoons. Our experienced walkers will reinforce and encourage good manners training on every walk.

Helen
Helen has had many roles working with dogs over the years in England, Australia and now New Zealand. Helen lives in Motueka, also offers “Doggy Homestay by Helen” – Helen would be delighted to mind your dog in her own home, provided your dog is friendly and manageable with children. Kellie
Kellie has always had a real love for dogs and has three dogs of her own. Kellie is a big hit with the dogs at Dog Almighty and a strong part of our dog walking team. Walking dogs has fueled Kellie’s interest in dog training and behaviour.
Lou
Louise recently joined the team at Dog Almighty and is already a big hit with all the dogs she walks. When she is not walking dogs, you’ll find her riding her mountain bike in the great outdoors.
